Wendy Thompson

Wendy M. Thompson is an Oakland native and author of Black California Gold (Bucknell University Press, 2025). Her poetry has most recently appeared in Hoxie Gorge Review, Poetry South, and Obsidian: Literature & Arts in the African Diaspora. She is an Associate Professor of African American Studies at San José State University.
