The Nextdoors

The Nextdoors are a wife-and-husband duo hailing from the peacock-laden streets of East Pasadena. When Russell Mark and Mika Larson were cut off from their other music projects by the pandemic they jumped into recordings of their own, which resulted in their debut album Linda Vista. The poignant lyrics and straightforward songcraft earned them nationwide radio play, and a #1 song at WBSD-fm in early 2023. They are the recipients of the Pasadena Mayor’s award for Musical Act of 2024. Mayor Victor Gordo has called The Nextdoors "one of the true gems of the city.” The Nextdoors will be joined by a panel of fellow songwriters to discuss how music can help us heal and process grief.
