Seth Lerer

Seth Lerer is a Distinguished Professor of literature Emeritus at UC-San Diego, and former Dean of Arts and Humanities there. In a career of over 45 years, he has published a dozen books, on topics ranging from medieval to modern literature, children's literature, history of the English language, and personal memoir. His books have been awarded the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Truman Capote Prize in Literary Criticism, as well as other prizes. These days, he is a visiting professor of literature at Claremont-McKenna College.
