Gloria Arjona

Gloria Arjona is a scholar, author, translator, and performing artist whose work bridges literature, visual culture, and public humanities. She holds a Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of Southern California and teaches at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), where she integrates cultural history and the arts into her courses. She is the author of Posadas Unknown Calaveras and La Lotería: Origins, Practices, and Card-Calling, works that explore Mexican and Latin American traditions. In addition to her literary work, Gloria is a dedicated vocalist who often combines music with storytelling, creating engaging experiences that highlight cultural heritage.
