Barbara DeSantis is an editor, writer, and writing coach who has always had a passion for language and storytelling. For twenty years she has helped writers—both novice and experienced—craft their stories and hone their skills and enjoys working in a truly collaborative effort to achieve their creative goals. Prior to becoming an editor, Barbara freelanced as a book publicist, working for Penguin Books, Dutton, Plume, Berkley Books, Viking, Atria, Free Press, Sterling Publishers, Houghton Mifflin, University of Oklahoma Press, Chinese Literature Today Book Series, ZagatSurveys, and many others. She began her book publishing career more than 40 years ago in New York at Simon and Schuster where she held a staff position in the publicity department.
