Adela Najarro

Adela Najarro is a poet with a social consciousness who is working on a novel. Her family emigrated from Nicaragua to San Francisco in the 1940s, with the remaining relatives settling in the Los Angeles area after the Somoza regime fell. She serves on the Board of Directors for Círculo de Poetas and Writers. Her latest poetry collection, Variations in Blue, was selected as the second volume in the Letras Latinas/Red Hen Press Collaborative Series.
